2.4 million children and young people are growing up in poverty in the UK today (and that's the conservative figure). started to help some of those out in the holidays when the family budget doesn't stretch to three square meals a day. But Lunch came about because of an amazing documentary called Poor Kids (you may have seen Poor Kids USA a few months ago too). Well True Vision, who made the incredible piece of TV, are now looking to make Hungry Kids. Where the stories of those for who benefits changes and dire economic situations are making life increasingly tough. If you work with any young people who live literally on the breadline who are under 14 and may like to share their story please contact Producer Katie Rice, Tel: 0208 742 7852
True Visions strap line is "documentaries that make a difference" and they sure do. The children who speak in their programmes are incredible bright, honest, beautiful individuals who challenge the toughest hearts. To get that level of communication the TrueVision team work brilliantly with the young people safeguarding them in all they do.
