Dancing the night away!

Posted on November 11, 2007 by Amy Tolmie

Tonight at the Youthwork conference we held a school disco in honour of the launch of schoolswork.co.uk. The venue was packed as youth workers danced to Abba, Bon Jovi, 'come on Eileen', some classic Grease action and loads more. DJ Lee 'Shabba' Jackson was superb, entertaining us with his break dancing and showing us he is king of the decks. We gave away an ipod shuffle to a worthy contestant who guessed all the famous faces in our quiz. Those of you coming to the weekend at Eastbourne, you have been warned...bring school uniform, raid those closets and polish up your moves for another weekend which promises another classic night to remember (and another ipod shuffle to be won). My personal highlight of the evening was a dance with Martin Saunders, and for those of you who thought you'd never see Chris Curtis on the dancefloor, well it happened tonight! Looking forward to tomorrow and the final day of what has been a fab weekend. Also Tom, valued member of the schoolswork.co.uk team, has been discovered as dancer extraordinaire and is now performing on the main stage at the conference in the morning. Not to be missed! We'd love to create a list of top 10 school disco classics...send us your favourites and we'll compile a list.
