These enable those who volunteer or are currently working with children, young people and families without a formal qualification to gain a validated qualification. The modules can be used for continual professional development purposes, or for those who are looking to have a taste of a new direction. Successful completion of a combination of three of these modules will enable the student to receive a Certificate of Learning from Staffordshire University which can be used as an access level qualification into Higher Education.

Post graduate study provides a significant opportunity for experienced practitioners to reflect on their work and develop critically informed strategies for personal, professional and organizational development. The blended learning approach for this programme provides a rich variety of core and optional modules in London and in Stoke in a collaborative arrangement with Staffordshire University. This allows access to greater diversity and expertise in teaching personnel, allowing engagement with a range of students across a range of professional disciplines. The majority of students will be mature returning to study after being ‘in practice’ although some students may be progressing directly from an undergraduate qualification. Each student is therefore assessed on their own merit through application statements, references and an informal interview, and may be people with existing academic qualifications to those who have none but have significant experience and demonstrate an aptitude to work at M Level.

It caters for students progressing from ‘A’ levels or equivalent, mature students, and those seeking a career change. The courses will stretch you to develop a higher level of knowledge and ministry and you will be guided through an academic learning programme that engages with the psychological, sociological and theological frameworks used to inform our view of: children young people and families.
