Making movies that make change
Today has been an interesting journey. That’s the great thing about the internet. You come across one thing and then, in a matter of moments it takes you somewhere else and then, a few minutes later you end somewhere you didn’t even know existed just that few moments back.
Assembly Commandments?
I’ve really got into the TED talks recently, and love the creativity, inspiration and quality of these 10-15 minute talks. Really do recommend checking them out if you haven’t done so before. Came across the TED commandments this morning thanks to Jonny and presumably thanks to the wider blogosphere for communicating this stuff…have included them here, I love the fun way they have been written, but I also think each of of these things are great ideas to apply to leading an assembly. I’ve also included a written version if you continue reading.

Christmas is coming…

I had my first exposure of Coca Cola’s Christmas advert on TV last night, which, by the looks of various Twitter comments, seems to be a real sign that Christmas is on its way! We’re starting to think about advent assemblies, Christmas assemblies and other ways that we can engage students in schools in exploring the story of Christmas in meaningful ways. Soon there will be new Christmas resources available for 2009 here on the site, but in the meantime, we want to get some discussion going here on the site and point out a couple of resources we really like.
