ADVANCED SCHOOL FOR SCHOOLS WORKERS
Christian schools workers face ever-increasing challenges. The school context is professional, fast-moving and demanding. This course provides the opportunity for you to take time out and become better equipped for the task to which God has called you. It aims to encourage reflection on existing practice and offer guidance and direction for future development. It is suitable for people working in either primary or secondary schools.
Dates: The course is residential and will start at midday on Monday 16 March and end with lunch on Friday 20 March 2009.
Place: Morley Retreat House, Morley, near Derby.

• Update your knowledge of the educational scene
• Explore different models of schools work

• Case studies
• Problem solving
• Individual tutorials
This course is only open to people who already have at least two years’ experience in schools work, or who have previously attended our ‘Training in Schools Work’ course (or ‘School for Schools Workers’). THE COURSE LEADERS
The courses will be led by experienced professional schools workers from the Scripture Union staff team. The course manager is John Stephenson, Head of Field Development; Emma Kendall, Schools Worker in the South-West, will be co-leader.
There will also be contributions from others visiting during the course.
COST
The course costs £250.00 in total for the week, including all meals, accommodation, tuition and course materials. A deposit of £50.00 is payable (to Scripture Union) on booking, and the balance is due four weeks before the start of the course
