The Luton Churches Education Trust (LCET) developed this series of pictures for display around schools in the lead up to Easter. The eight pictures loosely follow the traditional stages of the stations of the cross. The series includes: Choices, Betrayal, Accused, Denial, Suffering,Death, Life and Hope. Each one is a painting by a young person, describing their own experiences of that emotion and links with the different stages of the Easter story.

For the weeks leading up to the Easter break in 2007, seven schools in Luton displayed the pictures in school corridors and, through assemblies and tutor groups, students were invited to ‘walk’ the stations and reflect on them. There was a lot of feedback: students loved them and many of them took the time to walk through each station during break times or lunch. Schools were also very positive about the way the project fulfilled aspects of their remit for spiritual development.
