The two lions

An elderly sage was educating his young disciples about life.

He told them, ‘A battle is going on within me. It is a dreadful battle and it is between two great lions. One lion is wicked: he is fear, rage, jealousy, sadness, greed, pride, self-pity, shame, hatred, weakness, lies, rivalry and superiority. The other lion is good: he is happiness, harmony, love, trust, sharing, peace, modesty, gentleness, compassion, friendship, understanding, charity, truth, kindness and loyalty. This same battle is going on inside you and inside every other person as well.’

They considered his words for a while, then one of the disciples asked his teacher, ‘Which lion will win?’

The old sage replied thoughtfully, ‘The one you feed the most.’

Which of the two lions within you do you make the strongest?

What ‘assemblet’s do you use? Would be good to share stories that have worked well for us. Especially in light of the Stories With SIgnificance training days coming up. Bookings by the way are coming in as I write, so make sure you book in soon!
