If you’re in school doing Advent or Christmas assemblies this month, there’s an assembly based on the theme of waiting here. I also want to mention a project I think we profiled on the site this time last year, but is definitely worth a look again this year. It’s called Advent Conspiracy and is a brilliant way of re-engaging us with what Christmas is really all about…

The concept behind advent conspiracy is simple: worship more, spend less, give more, love all.

Ways you might want to think about using this in your schoolswork:

  • If you work with a group of Christian young people you might want to show this in a lunchtime and discuss how it might impact them and make them think differently about what they ask for.

  • Depending on your school you could work this clip into a great assembly about giving more this Christmas but in a different way.

  • You might be asked to teach a lesson about the Christmas story and this is a great way of illustrating what the season of advent is all about…
  • “SPEND LESS ON GIFTS
    GIVE MORE PRESENCE
    LOVE LIKE JESUS…

    IT BEGAN WITH WORSHIP
    IT BEGINS WITH WORSHIP…

WORSHIP FULLY, SPEND LESS, GIVE MORE, LOVE LIKE JESUS.”
