...The theme of the day was fair trade - food, fashion and trade justice.
Apart from the 6th form conferences that Chris (Curtis) has mentioned, does anyone have stories/ideas of sixth form conferences I can put on?
Thanks

Damaris put on 6th form conferences in various locations around the country. I’ve seen a few around here done by Jason Gardner & Jenny Baker which have been great and well received by students and staff. See http://www.damaris.org/schools
The one I’ve seen - ‘President for a day’ - has been very thought provoking and as I have observed them and spoken to 6t form students afterwards - you can see the impact is has on some of them. I’ve also found it a helpful way to engage with some of these people in schools I already visit. So if appropriate they can put on the presentation and you can be around as someone already involved in the school. Highly recommend them if you get a chance to see one.

We are doing lots of this work from dare2engage, and I’m happy to have guests join and observe the ones I run around the country. Let me know if you’d like to see one in action. D2E will actually pay your expenses.
I think its a one shot opportunity, so it’s really good to do something about God, rather than an anti-bullying thing dressed as spiritual. I think 16-19s are ready and ripe for this.
The law insists on RE for all, so it is a scandal that most school sixth forms see it as a problem, it’s a gift, actually
