SUPA Clubs is a tried and tested set of resources available free of charge from the Scripture Union website. The resources include games, talks, ideas for prayer, memory verses, fun sheets, crafts, worship ideas and lots more.  Suitable for both Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils the materials allow you to “pick and mix” according to the group you are working with. A new terms worth of material is updated every few months and soon an archive of old session plans will be added for users to browse and download free of charge.

If you want to take a look at the resources, please go to www.scriptureunion.org.uk/supaclubs

Your feedback is very much welcomed!

I have used the SUPA club material now for 3 terms with KS2 children in a lunchtime club and I think it is really great and accessible.  The ideas are good and there is little repetition of games, crafts and ways in etc.  There is some good backup material for games & resources if you need some extra ideas.

In my opinion, it has been well developed so that even the most novice of schools workers can use it.  You can just pick up and go.  For me, it means that I don’t have to re-invent each week and because its from SU, you know its sound.

Thanks to those involved in producing this resource

It could also be suggested that the zero sum game is an extremely simplified manner of looking at something like chess, which is not a probability-based game. A loser may gain as much from his losses as he does from his wins. He may become a better player as a result of losing; so though technically the game comes down to one winner and one loser, it may be advantageous to lose. Players matched against those with much greater skill may be more interested in learning than winning.
